Like many other ventures Chalice Mead was founded on a dream, a desire to reconnect with nature and to promote ancient mead heritage, bringing it fully into the modern age and, at the same time, supporting the bee populations in the UK and beyond. Mike Wagstaff, the founder, turned his dream into a reality and started a new business venture infusing the Mead with different ingredients such as caramel, nettle, chilli and elderflower to add a modern twist to an old drink.
Claytons Eggs is a local, Hampshire-based farm company that has been supplying the finest, free range eggs across the region and neighbouring counties for over 10 years. Clayton’s fresh eggs are full of flavour, coming from well-kept, nurtured chickens who are free to roam across large open fields and fed without using any artificial flavours, colouring or hormones.
COOK was founded in 1997 by Edward Perry and Dale Penfold. They may have been a small company back then, but they had big dreams: to make the best frozen meals on the planet and be a force for good in society. Located in Dorset, the Great British Biscotti Company is a small artisan bakery which offers a new and innovative take on the popular biscotti. Hill Farm has been pressing juice since the 1970s as part of a substantial fruit farm supplying apples and pears to supermarkets. Located within a micro climate in the stunning South Downs National Park, Hill Farm is the perfect spot for quality juice making. Each apple is carefully selected and pressed by Will Dobson and his highly skilled team. Their delicious juice is then gently pasteurised and immediately bottled to keep it fresh and rich in flavour. Pressed with both passion and care, Hill Farm Juice has been commended at the Great Taste awards, Hampshire Farmers’ Markets Drinks Producer and National Fruit Show, and supplies some of the South’s finest hotels, restaurants and retail outlets.
Tomatoes have been growing in the rich and fertile Arreton Valley for more than 30 years. The Island’s unique maritime climate and extra sunshine hours make it the perfect place to grow tomatoes. Since the age of 15 Angus Whitehead has been making the most of the fruits of his garden using recipes handed down through the generations. Most of the apples used by Mr Whitehead’s Cider Company are grown in their orchard, located in the heart of Hampshire (and supplemented with apples grown in the South of England). The orchard is a stone’s throw from the production site. Mr Whitehead’s Cider Company prides itself on the fact that nothing is added to or removed from the cider during production so the result is a natural crisp cider, bursting with apple flavour. Red Bluff Farm is a small, family run, market garden situated in the heart of Hampshire. The team operate on small-scale food production systems, combining regenerative design and sustainable organic practices. It is their hope that this will help restore a seemingly lost connection with the land that the current food system imparts and reconnect both farmers and local consumers with seasonal food production. Their aim is to grow healthy, nutrient dense food that not only tastes delicious but improves the soil ecosystem in return. The team follow the latest No-Dig philosophy and use minimal hand preparation throughout the farm, improving yield through intensive planting techniques and improving efficiency with the latest hand tools and appropriate technology.
Test Valley Gin started in February 2017 and has grown from strength to strength ever since. Each bottle is handcrafted by Kate in her grandad’s kitchen in the Test Valley. Each delicious gin is carefully infused with homegrown fresh herbs in small batches on the banks of the River Test. It’s local, subtle and fabulous!
The Wessex Wild Plum Company produces and distributes award-winning drinks which are made to traditional recipes and with artisan methods, slowly produced using only plums, a delicate gin and fine sugar. The team use fruit from the plum family, growing and harvesting fruit from their own orchards, in which they have nearly 2,000 plum trees of 12 different varieties. They are enjoyed throughout the year, both on their own and as a distinctive plum flavour in other drinks.

We combine our experience and quest for great taste with our own chalk-purified Hampshire water and the very best British and international hops.
