  • People and Communications Manager, Full Time

    This is a varied hands-on role which has a strong focus on HR, payroll, invoice matching, cashiering and health & safety. You will have current/recent experience of working in an HR/payroll role and handling a high volume workload. You will be a hands-on individual with a passion for all things retail. You need to be highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your naturally polite, helpful and friendly manner means that you will easily engage your internal customers and provide an exceptional level of service to Rosebourne’s c. 95 employees.

    The Gift Manager is an integral part of the store’s leadership team, and day to day the role will involve the leadership and motivation of your team to provide the highest standard of customer service and merchandising with a keen eye for detail, as well as supporting with the effective sourcing and selection of products.

  • Stock Admin Manager, Full Time (every other weekend)

    As Stock / Administration Manager, you will be an integral part of the warehouse team, and in charge of all aspects of Health and Safety throughout the store. You will take responsibility managing the daily planning for the warehouse team. along with planning stock replenishment. You must be able to demonstrate a strong leadership quality and in-depth understanding of creating processes, procedures and implementing them.

  • Plants & Garden Sundries Manager, Full Time (every other weekend)

    The Plants & Garden Sundries Manager will be an integral part of the store’s leadership team, and day to day the role will involve the leadership and motivation of your team to provide the highest standard of customer service and merchandising, as well as supporting with the effective sourcing and selection of products. You will come from a retail management background (ideally garden centre) and be able to demonstrate extensive plant & sundries knowledge.

  • Deputy Front of House Restaurant Manager, Full Time

    The Deputy Front of House Restaurant Manager is an integral part of the restaurant team and will support the front of house manager in all areas of the restaurant, including taking responsibility for its effective running during their absence. This is very much a hands on role where you will use your exceptional organisational, prioritisation, and strong attention to detail skills to ensure service and quality standards are met at all times. You will have demonstrable people management experience gained in a similar environment. You will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of you and your team always exceeding guest expectations.

  • Butcher/Butcher's Assistant, Full Time/Part Time including weekends

    We are looking for full time/part time Butchers and a Butcher’s Assistant to join us at our new Aldermaston store.

    We are recruiting for a Butcher who has experience in all butchery tasks including cutting, preparing and displaying all types of cuts of meat and poultry for our customers. Working in a busy retail environment you will be qualified or have plenty of experience in the butchery trade. You will have good knife and preparation skills. Duties will include boning and trimming meat along with cleaning work areas, equipment and utensils. You will have good knowledge of all current meat cuts of pork/beef/lamb/poultry etc and will be passionate about butchery and delivering exceptional customer service. You will need a good understanding of allergens, be able to identify risks and take necessary action to ensure customers receive consistent quality and are made aware of any allergens that may affect them. You will also need to work to specific recipes whilst making our hand made products. Our butchery shall include whole carcass processing as well as operating machinery / equipment.

    Applicants with little or no experience of the butchery trade shall only be considered if proven to show high levels of commitment and an enthusiastic approach to learn a new skill set.

    We are also hiring for a Butcher’s Assistant. This will be a varied role and is a fantastic opportunity for those who love interacting with customers and have a passion for fresh local produce. You will provide friendly and knowledgeable service to our customers, therefore great customer service skills are a must. Working as a team to maximise sales and service within the department, you will need to work closely alongside the other staff members and take instructions as needed. Assisting our butchers, you will support with preparing cuts of meat to display in our counters, you will wrap, label and price cuts of meat. Full training will be provided to the right candidate. This role would be ideal for those interested in pursuing a butchery career.

    This role is an integral part of the store team and, working closely with other till supervisor/s, you will ensure the smooth, efficient and accurate running of the checkouts. Working on the tills at Rosebourne is vital to the customer experience as the service received at the tills will often form the lasting impression of their visit.   • Goods Inwards Assistant, Full Time (including regular weekend work)

    All deliveries for the store are received and booked in via our warehouse, therefore this role is busy and very hands on. To ensure that the right goods are stored in the right places at the right time, we are seeking candidates with great planning and organisation skills. Our stock lines change regularly (in line with the season etc), therefore you will need to be constantly thinking ahead to plan and implement the stock layout changes needed to ensure the warehouse runs effectively. Just as important will be your excellent attention to detail and strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.

  • Sous Chef, Full Time (including every other weekend)

    Working as part of a team in a busy, high pressure “call order” open plan kitchen you will be required to work under pressure whilst maintaining a good team spirit and a willingness to always put our customers first. Your experience must include classic cooking and the use of fresh and seasonal ingredients. We’d like you to have had some experience of larder, butchery and sauce work but this is not essential. On occasions you will take full responsibility for the effective running of the kitchen, therefore previous supervisory / management experience in a kitchen environment is essential.

    All meals are prepared daily in our kitchens using fresh meat, fish and seasonal produce. These are sourced from our farm shop and, where possible, local producers. As Chef de Partie you will be responsible for preparing and presenting freshly prepared dishes that consistently delight our guests. You will be part of a strong team that thrives on the pressure of working in a busy food operation.
