A GREEN-fingered celebrity visited Andover in October 2016 to open a new garden attraction. Love Your Garden presenter David Domoney cut the ribbon on the Rosebourne centre during an official opening ceremony on Saturday, October 22. The television star, who also makes regular appearances on ITV’s This Morning, also held two gardening talks at the new Weyhill attraction. The centre champions local food with its food hall and table-service restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea throughout the week. As well as food, Rosebourne has a Garden Nursery, and a home and kitchenware shop.

For car enthusiasts, Thruxton Motorsport Centre showcased a variety of cars. These included single-seater racers and off-road vehicles to karts specifically geared for younger petrolheads. A competition gave visitors the chance to win a track day experience at Thruxton.

Neville Prest, managing director at Rosebourne, said: “We would like to thank all the teams of people who have helped to realise our vision for Rosebourne and, of course, the suppliers and staff members who will make Rosebourne a fantastic destination for locals and visitors to the area for many years to come.”
